Currently in Philadelphia — December 1, 2023: Warming up for the weekend

The weather, currently.

It’s December, and the holiday season has officially started, if the department stores are to be believed. But I don’t think the weather got the memo. It’ll continue to warm up as the week comes to an end, with a high of 51˚F today and highs around 60˚F on Saturday and Sunday. The main story is the rain, which should be happening on-and-on throughout the weekend, beginning later this afternoon. Total rainfall should be less than 0.1 inches, so it won’t be torrential, but might be enough to keep you indoors. You only have 25 days left to watch Christmas movies, so you might as well get started.

Everyone deserves to thrive. Everyone is worthy of a better world. That’s why we’re building a weather service for the climate emergency.

Currently’s new weather service is now live. In the weeks and months ahead, we’ll be continually adding more features and opening up more slots as we develop the service.

But for now, space is limited in the weather service because I want to make sure we can provide the highest quality service we possibly can while we work to refine the system with your input.
