Currently in Philadelphia — November 14, 2023: Sunny and windy
Plus, last call for the Currently Weather Service pre-launch survey.
The weather, currently.
Sunny and windier
I live on a small side street in West Philly that’s full of trees. For most of the year, it’s shady and sheltered, but it’s been opening up bit by bit as the leaves fall off. It’s been nice to see all of my neighbors’ beautiful houses again. I just have to remind myself to close the blinds before my late-night dance parties. Today’s forecast looks a lot like yesterday’s: low cloud cover with a high of 54˚F. The winds — and the morning wind chills — are set to pick up a bit, reaching sustained speeds of up to 15 miles per hour (blowing northwest, for anyone commuting by sailboat or blimp today).

What you need to know, currently.
In order for the new Currently Weather Service to live up to our hype, I want to ask for everyone’s pre-launch thoughts one last time.
This survey will be part of the baseline data we’ll use to build the weather service around the community’s needs and make sure it’s something people love to use. Completing the quick survey will also put you first in line to try out the new weather service yourself.
Could you take this two-minute survey right now to help us understand what your dream weather service might be like? Thank you so much to each of you who have already responded.
The launch version of the weather service dropping later this week is just the beginning. We want to continually improve this service in direct response to what people actually need and how people are using it. And, as you’ll quickly see, the suggestions folks have already made are fantastic. Keep ‘em comin’.
